Out-of-Province Emergency Medical Coverage

Providing you coverage for unexpected emergency medical expenses as a result of injury or illness while you travel.

Eligible travel benefits will be paid based on usual, reasonable and customary charges. Hospital accommodation, physician charges, diagnostic services, paramedical services, ambulance services, emergency air transportation, transportation to bedside, treatment of dental accidents, return of traveling companion, meals and accommodation and more.

  • International Assistance Service available 24 hours 7 days a week no matter where you travel.
  • Unlimited trips to a maximum of 30 days per trip
Certain expenses are only covered if prior approval is obtained by The Assistance Company. Immediate notice must be provided in the event of an emergency while traveling , failure to do so may limit your coverage. Benefits will be coordinated if coverage is provided under any other plan.

Pre-Existing Condition: If you are over age 65 (but less than age 70) any conditions you may have must be stable for six continuous months prior to your date of travel.
